Fees
JC History Tuition | A Level GP Tuition | O Level Tuition
When are fees collected?
A Level GP Tuition, JC History Tuition and any other tuition fees are collected at the beginning of the month for the number of scheduled lessons in that month. Invoices will be sent out at least a week prior to the new month.
What are your payment options?
We prefer Paylah!, Paynow, and iBanking! Other modes of payment may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Are there any hidden fees?
No! As stated, we do not collect registration fees nor deposit fees for our JC History tuition or any other tuition lessons. There are no hidden fees beyond the fees for the number of lessons in a month. We may charge additional fees for assessment books, but students and parents will be notified of that beforehand.
Are there late payment penalties?
While we do state in our terms and conditions that there are late payment penalties, we enforce them on a case-by-case basis!
Lessons

How long is each lesson?
Each of our JC History tuition, GP tuition or English tuition lessons is 2 hours long. In each lesson, the lessons are structured to include targeted content teaching/skills teaching along with practices!
What if my child/I missed a lesson?
We do schedule make-up lessons, but it is on a case-by-case basis. Specifics can be found in our terms and conditions!
Do you do online lessons?
We prefer face-to-face lessons as this ensures the best learning outcomes. However, if students prefer to do lessons online, we do offer that! However, there are no price discounts for online lessons.
Are there mandatory extra lessons?
Extra lessons will be scheduled during the exam period. We strongly urge students to attend these lessons in order to prepare them for their exams!
Do I need to bring any additional materials?
Generally speaking, students only need to bring writing materials. Learning materials are provided by us; any additional required material will be informed by the teacher beforehand!
What if I wish to withdraw from lessons?
In such scenarios, we regret that we are not able to help you as much as we would like to. At The Discourse Education, we aim to provide the best services as much as possible for our JC History tuition, GP tuition or O Levels English tuition. However, should you wish to withdraw, we would appreciate at least a 2 weeks notice! More specifics can be found in our terms and conditions.
Can you guarantee results?
No. Setting aside the legal implications of making such guarantees, there is no scenario where results are guaranteed; ultimately, the best learning outcomes can be achieved when both parties work together. What we can guarantee, however, is that we will always strive to provide the best quality lessons possible!
Do you cater to private candidates?
Yes, we do! Our learning materials are crafted with an assumption that we are re-teaching students from the ground-up. In the event that there are private candidates who wish to take the A Levels, we can help them accordingly!
Do you do timed practices?
Yes, we do offer timed practices. However, these practices are chargeable, albeit at a lower rate! These timed practices are not mandatory, but we generally urge our students to attend them in order to practice in timed conditions for their A Levels.

What are the amenities near your centre?
There is a variety of restaurants and a mini-mart in KAP Mall! Our Jc History tuition, GP tuition and O Level English tuition Students can enjoy some food before or after lessons.
What amenities do you have?
Students can enjoy FREE Wi-Fi, along with a free flow of drinks and snacks from our pantry!
Can I study at your centre?
Should our students require a space to study, they can study at our centre during non-lesson timings for free! Non-students of TDE can also study here for a nominal fee!
Do you offer free consults?
We offer free consults for our students, but these are only in half-hour blocks. Non-students are also welcomed to book a consult, but these are half-hour blocks and one-off only! These apply to JC History tuition students, GP tuition students or O Level English students.
